I searched through both this forum and Google before asking, but I know that this is a total Noob question, and I'm sorry.

I'm not a very talented object creator. I'll admit that first off. I've made a couple recolors using SimPE, but I've always either opened a custom file, or used the Object Workshop. Recently, I've gotten the desire to mess around with CastAway Stories objects, but I have failed in locating them, and either I can't figure out how, or there isn't a way to get the handy Object Workshop to find them.

So my question is, hopefully, simple. How do I locate game objects without using the Object Wizard? Or how do I get the Object Wizard to locate CastAway Stories objects for me?

Thanks, and thanks for putting up with my rather Noob-ish question. If this is the wrong place to ask this, please move to the proper forum, or delete. Thanks again!

Of course, right after I gave up and asked, I found this tutorial , which is very helpful. Any other advice would also be great.

Hi WatersMoon!  I don't know any more info myself (maybe someone else does) but welcome to the SimPE forums.

That tut is a lot more work than what I do.

I go to:

extra
preferences
file table

I place a check in the include castaway stories box. This automagically de-selects most everything else. I then click ok and then

tools
object creation
object workshop

Pretty much point and click after that. One thing, ignore the categories, as they are set for the sims2. As You know, CS changes the catalog. So you have to hunt through the list once SimPE is done scanning.
