Anytime SimPE needs to see what package files the game looks at, it goes to the FileTable to see where to look. Locating the FileTable The FileTable is located in SimPE's Preferences, which can be accessed from the Extras menu. ![]() FileTable tab ![]() On the FileTable there are many options you can use to manipulate waht SimPE loads. Below is a synopsis of the main ones: *The Simple Settings area globally controls which types of files SimPE should load. The options:
*The links at the bottom of the window allow you to add/remove entries to the FileTable and manipulate existing them. Below is an overview of what they do:
*The up adn down buttons let you change the order of the entries in the FileTable. Ealier entries override later ones, like objects in the Downloads folder override Maxis objects. *The Reload button causes SimPE to reload the current file table. FileTable Item window ![]() The FileTable Item window allows you to manipulate entires in the FileTable. Following is an overview of the options avaliable. *The Recursive checkbox allows you to specify whether a folder entry is recursive. That is, whether SimPE should look in it's subfolders or not. *The Load File button allows you to add an individual file to the FileTable. It opens a file browser window. You can use it to locate the file you want to add. *The Load Folder button allows you to add a whole folder to the FileTable. It opens a folder browser window. You can use it to locate the folder you want to add. *The Load for dropdown box allows you to control under which configurations this entry should be loaded.
