It isn't even in all the stores yet!!! Give him some time!!!

SimPe for Pets took a couple of months, so that would probably be a general guide.

That depends on a number of things.

First, the developers need to have had Seasons released in their country.

Second, they need to have installed it and had time to assess the changes that EA have made in the new version.

Third, they need to identify whether any of those changes affects how SimPE operates.

If you can predict how long each of those will take, add them up and you have your answer.

How many new threads asking the same question will there be before the new version is released?

I should get my copy of Seasons on Saturday. So I will start working on it then. But I cannot say how long it might take. If you compare the times from previous EP releases it took between 2 Weeks and way over a Month.

Take your time.  I will wait patiently.  I am just glad you great modders are willing to do this for me and the others that don't understand what a code even is.

Thank you again.

Yes, take your time.

I think a lot of people seem to have the impression that you guys get hold of the EP before it is released so that you can release the SimPE update on the release date. Rather than the reality that you get the EP at the same time as everyone else and THEN start work, AND all in your own time and voluntarily.

I, like every one else, am really keen to see the update, my copy of seasons arrived this morning, but I just want to say in advance a Big Thankyou to everyone who will be working on this update. And when it is done it will be done and not a moment earlier.

For some modders, they can still use simpe to mod EP5 stuffs with more efforts. :)

Guess one can still mod stuffs under EP5 and fool around some unlikely-to-be-changed formats or contents.

Adding the following code to Data/expansions.xreg will enable the Season specific Objects and Settings in SimPE. If it worked, you should see the Seasons Path in Extra->Preferences and have the Seasons Checkbox on the FileTable Tab. OW will then start loading Seasons Objects too.

<!-- Information about Seasons -->
    <key name="Seasons">
      <int name="Version">8</int>
      <string name="RegKey">Software\EA Games\The Sims 2 Seasons</string>
      <int name="Flag">13</int>
      <string name="ExeName">Sims2EP5.exe</string>
      <string name="Censor">quaxi_pets_censor_v1.package</string>
      <int name="Group">1</int>
    </key>

I agree.. When the Patch is available it will be greatly appreciated for sure...  Thanks for taking the time and efforts to make this all available to us Sim Addicts  (hehehehe)

And for the daring types, I for one AM one, you are able to still use SimPE in a limited fashion.  I have only ventured to change the lifespan with not a problem.  Do't go into the area for memories or badges.  I got an error of some sort in PE and before I know what I was doing I accepted the changes when closing the program.

Thus, Seasons kept crashing after that when the program was attempted to load.  The fix, uninstall Seasons, discovered that Pets was removed in the process, reinstalled Pets, recovered the backup pf Pet, then reinstalled Seasons.

Now, I'm only going to wait for the Patch before doing anything else other than changing the lifespan of my Sims.
