My old neighborhood was very buggy and I had to start over. I cloned my self sim and her family, created a new neighborhood, and moved them in. The problem is, that even though they look the same, their voices are wrong. I have written down all their stats, so I have the voice codes of my original sims... but I noticed, that in the last savegame, all the male's voices started with a 7; now in this new neighborhood they all start with a B. So there seems to be some pattern to this. My question is: can I replace these new voice codes with the old ones, without my neighborhood and sims going all wonky? Or do the old voices in my new sims bork my entire game? I've played this family for so long, and the wrong voices are driving me nuts. xD

It might be better to ask in the Create section of MTS... Or at Crazy Town where Trif is hanging out, since he is the one who might have experimented with something like that. But you can always make a complete (be sure it is complete) backup of your neighborhood, then try it yourself. Play for a while keeping a close watch for anything weird. If everything is still normal after two months (your time, not sim time) you can figure that you didn't break anything. Otherwise- That's what the backup is for.

I have yet to notice any problem with editing voice files. I've been doing this since 2007.
