| At first I want to thank Quaxi and all people here for developing SIMPE.
What I want to ask you here, my laguage is Korean and we don't use alphabets. We use our letters and one syllable is composed of a cononant + a vowel, or a consonant + a vowel + a consonant, and one syllabile is mostly a letter.
And... typing these letters in SIMPE is pretty hard. Especially when I type in pie menus, the cursor should remain while I am typing in one letter, in other words, one set of consonant+vowel or consonant+vowel+consonant, but the cursor often moves away after I type in only the first consonant.
So I have to press backspace or left cursor key a lot of times when I type in pie menus. I don't know whether Japanese or Chinese users have no problem in typing or not. Is it possible to support non alphabetic letters more?
Anyway, thank you so much.. |

| I'll mention this to Peter and see if he can do something in the string editor - are you already using the PJSE string editor for your pie menu strings? |

Ahhhhhhh! Inge Jones, I am happy to see you here.
Uhm I mostly use default plugin when I edit pie menus but I tested PSJE string editor and typing problem is still there. And! I found something. 8)
I tested SIMPE 0.28 and there was no problem in this old version. Vowels and consonants don't move away by themselves. Okay... I can use 0.28 or other older versions when I edit pie menus.... |

| Actually, I am not sure what you mean by "the cursor moves away". Do you mean out of the entire input box, or that it moves along ready for where the next character would be if you were typing in a european language? |

 "it moves along ready for where the next character would be if you were typing in a european language" -> It's right and it describes perfectly what I tried to write. The cursor moves to a postion where the next alphabet letter would be. I am not sure you can see this letter in your windows, but (If you can't see this letter, please just ignore it)
For example,
강 -> It means river and it's composed of ㄱ (consonant) + ㅏ (vowel) + ㅇ(consonant) and it's deemed to be one letter. And when I type it in windows the cursor should remain until I type the last consonant. But in the latest SIMPE, after I type the first consonant the cusor moves to the next postion like
ㄱ ㅏㅇ
So I have to erase these letters and press backspace key and type it again. :( So it's somewhat uncomfortable, but I can be satisfied with 0.28 version and I have no problem in typing in this version. I can make a shortcut of 0.28 SIMPE and use it when I have to make a pie string, so it's no problem. Btw, Inge, you are helping people a lot! :? I respect you. Thank you Inge!!! |

| Well it's not something we have a lot of experience of, obviously, but I'll see if research throws up a way to support your language in the plugin |

| What about other Plugins? Like the regular String Plugin. Do you have problems with that as well? |

At first, I want to express a big thank you to Quaxi and Inge Jones.
And... Yes I have the same problem with regular string plugin too. But when I use 0.28 SIMPE, there is no such problem at all, so I can type it freely.
Anyway, I can be satisfied with just using 0.28 when I have to write a pie string, so it's not a problem for me. 8) I mostly use the latest 0.46 version, and it is really superb except the very tiny typing problem, and I can handle this problem too using an old SIMPE. I want to thank you, Quaxi, for writting SIMPE.
(EDIT) Inge, I found that Text Input box of PSJE string editor works for my language. I mean, the text input box included in SIMPE screen (hard to describe it because of my short English) didn't work for me but the input box which pops up when I click a right headed arror mark works flawlessly for me. :D |
