I've used SimPE for several months, and could not play without it (I use this version, because when I tried the newer one, it didn't want to work on my computer). I mostly change family relations, names, ages, things like zodiac sign or personality points, and edit memories, that's it. So far I've had no problems, but yesterday and today I've been getting error messages. I tried to add a memory to some of my sims (I've done this before without any problems), but when I click "commit" or "save", error messages pop up. Not every time I save or commit, but very often. The messages say: "Error while trying to open Package: C:\Users\myname\Documents\EA Games\The Sims 2\Neighborhoods\G001\G001_Neighborhood.package File: Sim Description (AACE2EFB) - 00000000" (this one I got many of, a new one popped up every time I clicked "ok" on the previous one) and "Exception of type 'SystemOutOfMemoryException' was thrown" (these I only got one of after the multiple first kind of errors, always last). What's wrong? I'm no computer wiz, so I have no idea. What does that "System out of memory" mean, and can I do something about that? My savegame is 4,61 GB big at the moment, I only play one neighborhood (RBH) (haven't deleted the other ones though), and I play with aging off, so my sims have _a lot_ of memories by now. Is there a limit to how many memories a sim can have? O_o
Oh and one time I got these errors when I tried to save after just changing a sim's age, not after adding memories.
Now that I've gotten these errors, does that mean my game is borked, and I need to use a backup? (=Can the errors affect my savegame?) Or can I just try saving again, and if it works that time, just continue playing?
If anybody has any ideas or tips, I'd be really really grateful.

I don't know for certain that there is a limit to the number of memories that a neighborhood memory file can hold, but pruning unnecessary ones would probably be a good idea anyway. Just be sure to have a good backup kept in a safe place in caase something goes wrong.
I do know that there is a limit to the number of character files that a neighborhood can hold before the game starts randomly deleting sims, so I would not be too surprised if there was a limit before it started randomly corrupting memories.
