I've been looking for the answer to this off and on for over a year now and am finally breaking down and asking here.

If I download and install the Apartment Life (0.72) version of SimPE I can view/edit all my neighborhoods from Sims 2, Life Stories, Pet Stories, and Castaway Stories. Installing the Mansion & Gardens update also lets me view/edit S2 and Story neighborhoods.

However, if I download and unzip the latest 0.73 version it shows my Sims 2 neighborhoods but not the Story ones. The only way I can get the Story 'hoods to show up in .73 is to change the Downloads folder location and deselect all S2 EPs/SPs (and then reverse the steps to go back to S2).

The main problem with this method is that I can only edit the 'hoods from one game at a time: S2 or Life or Pets or Castaway unlike the .72 way of easily hopping back and forth at will.

Is there much difference between Mansions and .73? Or a file(s) I can keep from the former and use in the later so that everything works and is current?

I'm really struggling to remember with this one.

I think we identified some issue around the Story 'hoods whereby we decided it wasn't safe to support them any more.

You can use .73 for everything else.  If you download the "non-installer" version of .72 and put it in a different folder, you should be able to set that up just for Stories -- with the caveat that it may still break them under certain circumstances that I don't remember.

Of course, I could be mistaken entirely!!
