| I get this error many times. "No Parent Found in Search Path"
It can happen when viewing a package file with nothing in it other than a GeometryDataContainer, or like this time, while trying to click on a GMDC in Sims03.package. I have the latest version of SimPe. With Sims03.package, it allows me to view and extract one mesh, then when I go back to the name map and find a second mesh, set the instance filter and try to look at a second GMDC, it crashes every time.

| Go to extra->preferences and switch to the scenegraph Tab. Then deactivate the "load Joint Names" Option. |

| OK, I did that and now I don't get the red box that pops up, instead I get a small white window that says "Warning: No parent was found in the search path".
This is just a Warning. It is supposed to keep you informed about a Problem. Most of the Time this is not a Bug!
Either there is no Scenegraph Resource that is referencing the File, or the package containing that Resource is not in the FileTable (see Extra->Options)
This happened when I was viewing a GMDC and attempted to import a Milkshape ASCII text file that I had exported from another package. It won't allow me to import the ASCII file at all. |

| Well, you can only export/import stuff from a package context. That means you have to clone the Object that defines the GMDC first, and export the Mesh from there. |

| It was a package context. I extracted the GMDC from the original game file and selected New, added the extracted file and saved. The only thing in the package was a GMDC though. Are you saying my package has to have the GMDC, CRES, node, etc.. to prevent this error? |

| Yes, SimPe needs a way from the GMDC to the CRES, so you need the GMDC, GMND, SHPE and CRES Resources that match. |
