I'm trying to make a stand-alone object (as in it shows up by itself in buy mode) of a painting. . . the "Transcendence" one. . . I changed the texture successfully, so it shows my new image file as the painting in game; but it seems to have replaced the "Transcendence" painting altogether, so that one doesn't show up in buy mode anymore. I checked "Create stand-alone object" and "Create custom group ID" as I assumed they would make them separate from the original object, "Transcendence."

Also, if I make more than one object cloned from the same original object (IE "Transcendence" in this case), the only one that shows up in Buy Mode is the last one I make. And it still replaces the original object I used as a source.

Am I overlooking a setting or something? :?

TIA,
Kevin

You have to change the GUID of the object. To do that open up your paintings in Simpe and go the the Object Data file. Then click get GUID next to the GUID in the plugin view. Then sign in to your Simpe account and click the blue GUID button. It will assign you a GUID range and click OK. You can also change what you register it as by clicking in the text box and changing what it says.

Hope that helps.

Thanks a million. :) One final question about that, though. . . if I change the GUID for this object, will the original show up again, or has my new object permanently replaced it? :?

Don't worry, the original will show up again.

No. The reason you give it a new guid is so that the original still shows up. Only one object can have a given guid.
