i got thatmessages wheni triedtofollow though on neptunesuzzy's tutorial  step 4) Now, let's build our New Package at http://personal-computer-tutor.com/sims2/suzysclothingtut.htm

 

 i  saves the project as states in teh instructions but wheni tried to use object->fix ingerrty after clicking ok igot the below error

Ok, try the final release, which is linked on the home page. You do need to do a manual install, but that is a simple matter of making a folder for it and then extracting it into the folder. (If you also have Sims 3 you may even want to skip the step about setting the file associations so that you won't reset your sims 3 file associations as well. Otherwise after it's set up you can right click a package file and set the properties to "open with" SimPE.

**new edit** should it matter that what im trying to edit is download i got off mod the sims2 site?

i uninstalled the old simpe and installed the new one. i then redid the instructions and nowi have this error

Well, it's starting to look like the problem might be in your mesh.  The error it is giving is basically "Hey, whatever you just told me to look for? I'm not finding it here!" If you can get support where that tutorial is, you would probably have better luck than here, because you have more experience with meshing than I do.  (You have actually fiddled with one in SimPE. I haven't)

i think now know what the problem is the mesh i was trrying to edit is just a painted sim body

sorry

ignore above i just whentthrough teh totorial with a difernt mesh project and i got the same result.i will try and get some help from where teh site teh tutorial is at.

The best I can tell you is to ask at Mod The Sims, but I did some of the navigating for you. You want the Create tab, sims 2, Body shop- Meshing. You could probably find someone there who knows what's wrong.
