| I'm very new to creating for TS2. I know that registration for GUID is closed now but I was wondering how I would go about figuring out a GUID to use for any new items I create? A thread earlier last year said to use hash seeds... but I have no clue what that means. I'd really like to start creating but don't want over-riding items. Thanks in advance. |

| Basically that means selecting a random 7 or 8 digit hexadecimal number and modifying each GUID with it. Since the chances of someone else selecting the same number that you did and using it the same way are astronomically remote it is considered to be just as safe as a registered GUID. But you should mention that your new GUID was generated with a hash seed if you upload it anywhere. |
