I have version 0.44.2046.26185 - (when i right click on the exe and check its version its saying 0.44.2046.26192) i went to the download page and couldn't see any newer versions.

I noticed in the SimPe from the groud up PDF that the relationship editor shows 2 sections - Sims your sim knows and a Sim Pool of unknown sims.

My SimPe just shows all sims in one group, which makes finding a specfic sim quite time consuming as they are not in any type of order.

So my question is how do I make it so the relationship screen either only shows sims thats are known to the sim I am editing, or seperates them out as shown in the PDF?

I keep have to switching between the new GUI and the Classic GUI, which is taking quite a while as the new simpe does take quite a lot longer to load and save.

EDIT 2: just installed the latest version 0.46 but the relationship editor is the same as before, so i checked the version, it still says .44
I did uninstall before installing this new one. So either I messed up or the download hasn't been updated.. the current download says it should be over 5mb, but its actually still 3.88mb.... any clues would be appreciated.

Try clearing your cache. The download link is definately downloading .46. Also use the main link, not the mirror, as it may not have the newest version.

Hmm well I just tried the main link again and the file is still only 3.88mb and version 0.44 - but I did just try the miror download and it is over 5mb, so I hope this is the new version...

How odd, it appears I am living in an alternate dimension!! haha
