I wish there was a way to see how my recoloured object looks (a preview) without having to load my Sims game. (if there is a way, I don't know it and would appreciate it if you would let me know)

If you open the MMAT of a recolour, there is a button called Preview.  That takes a bit of time to load also, but not as long as loading the game :)
