If you want to work on a college student, open the neighborhood their college is attached to. ![]() Now to bring up the sims themselves, click Sim Browser. ![]() Now you can double click the sim you want to edit. If you're having trouble finding your sim and you know their name, type the first letter of it repeatedly until it comes to them. If you just created them, try checking the bottom of the list. ![]() Here you can edit their days at this life stage, age stage, aspirations, etc. To change their interests (things they enjoy talking about) just drag the green bars where you want the value to be with your mouse. You can even quickly max all the values out with the little max link near the Commit button. When you make changes, you must Commit them and then on the menu bar, choose File and Save. ![]() On the Relations Tab you edit relationships, you can add new ones on the left or edit existing ones. Who is friends with whom? Are they in love? Remember to Commit your changes. ![]() On the Skills Tab you can change what skills your sim has. The "max" leaves a little space so that when you do finish them in the game, you get the aspiration credt (important for knowledge sims!) ![]() On the Character Tab you can change your sim's personality traits, what kind of personality they pass down to children, aspiration level, school and career settings and more. ![]() On the Extended Tab you'll see some decay rates... like how fast does a sim get hungry again, or need sleep or need social fun interaction? Also there is some body shape/state tweaks here too. You can chose a different sim in the Sim Browser and edit as many as you want and then click on File and Save to save the neighborhood when you're all done, just make sure to do your "commit" along the way as you go. Most of these things are very obvious, but I think showing pictures of the friendly interface might help some to realize how far SimPE has come over the months and not be afraid of it. I've heard some say it's not user friendly and I just wanted to show some nice pics showing that is not the case at all. Questions can be addressed in the HOW TO forum on any tutorial. :) Deedee | |
