Hi, I'm wondering if it could be possible to use custom skin tones in the Sim Surgery part of Simpe. When I bring up the Archetype, the only skintone options that I have are the default ones that come w/the game. I would like to put a custom skintone on one of my sims that's already in the game. I created a sim w/this skintone for that purpose. Thanks!

You can, if you add the Downloads Folder to your FileTable (in Extra->Preferences) However, adding the downloads Folder can cause you Problems when you use SimPe to create Recolors/Clones with the Objectworkshop. If you only use it for Sim related Stuff, it is save tp add the Downloads Folder.

How about if I just add a folder w/the custom skins? Would that work? Does it have to say Downloads on it? Thanks!

That will work too, create a new Folder only for skintones, and add thet Folder to the FileTable in Extra->Preferenecs.

After the next start, SimPE should list the custom Skins too.

Hi again Quaxi. I did what you said, but it's not working. I do have a lot more choices for skin, but not the one(s) that I want. I know that they're in the folder that I added too. I double checked. Do you know why they're not showing up? I don't have Univ.

Not really, only option you have in that case, is to create a Sim in the Game with that Skin, and move it into a Household.

Then Go to Sim Surgery, and select that new Sim as Archetype, and specify that SimPE should copy the Skintone only. That way, the new Sim should get the desired Skintone.

I'll try. I did create a new sim w/that skintone and have been using it as the archetype specifying skintone only. The only thing I've not done is move the new sim into a house. I wonder if having Univ installed would make any diff for the other skintones showing up.
