Member since: 2011-06-04 Posts: 1 | I got the following message when I tried to scan the Neighborhood folder of Castaway Sims directly using recursion. To me, this hints that the array was defined improperly with too small of a number. This means that either someone hard-coded the number in (which is a big no-no with how that array varies) or the function used to find the size of the array isn't working properly. When I try to do it iteratively (without recursion checked) it doesn't find anything at all, which also isn't a good sign. From what I see, it seems like the files are corrupted somehow, so I may have to reinstall the entire thing >.< When I try to open any neighborhoods with the manager, none of them show up, so I have to open them manually without backing them up first. It has been like this from the first time I started the program. I still have 0.72 in a separate folder since I clean installed 0.73. It was working for a day before it decided to crap out on me entirely. I clicked on one of the plugin links (Something to do with TGI) out of curiosity and it pretty much killed the program. I've restarted my computer and 0.73 still acting up. I don't have the Sims 2 installed on this laptop. I only have Castaway Stories and Pet Stories plus the Sims 3. This setup has worked fine for YEARS with 0.72, which I might have to just revert to. I just recently installed 0.73 as well as all the plugins provided on this site (and yes, I read the directions to a T, so I know I didn't do anything stupid there). I might just have to install the plug-ins on 0.72 and uninstall 0.73 permanently if I can't get any answers here... Member since: 2006-03-19 Posts: 788 | Unfortunately, the developers (or developer, by that point) have moved on to Sims 3 now. I'll pass this along, but I'm afraid you probably need to go back to what works for you. Of course, the source is available if you know enough to try fixing it yourself. | |
