I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this because the problem I'm
having could be with SimPe or Milkshape.

I have Dr Pixel's Animation Base Meshes and Wesley Howe's Raw Anim PluginsV02
and AniMesh exporter plugin. I'm using the version of SimPe for Apartment Life
and the trial version of MilkShape 3D 1.8.4. My operatin system is Windows 7.

I created a pose in Milkshape, saved, and exported it with Sims 2 ANIMESH
Exporter. Then I created a new package in SimPe and tried to put the animation
in it and I got this error message:

Sims 2 Pack File Browser

Unhandled Exception has occurred in a component in your application. If you
click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue.
SimPe does not support this type of file.

I was following this tutorial: http://forums.sim-oasis.com/index.php?topic=597.0
I'm sure I did everything right. I have tried putting it in the package
repeatedly and I get the error message every time. I've tried looking it up to
see if anyone else has had this problem and I didn't find much.

I would really appreciate it if someone could help me with this.

That error report is saying that it isn't recognizing your mesh as a valid package. There is a possibility that Peter would have an idea about why, but I would suggest asking Wes, who created AniMesh and knows more about meshes than Peter, Inge, and me put together. (Easy job, as Peter and I know virtually nothing about them. lol)

Unfortunately he has stopped coming here. I'll send him a PM asking for help, but you might have better luck just posting this at MTS.

I do remember something about Milkshape having a different orientation than Sims does, so even a mesh that looks perfect can be wrong.

(You did make sure that you have the sims 2 plugin and not the Sims 3 plugin, didn't you? I'm pretty sure that he gave them separate names, but by this time that would be an easy mistake to make.)

Edit: I sent him a PM, but the last time he was at MTS was November 22. It could take him a while to get it.

I'm sure I did everything right.

Please provide step by step details of what you did, referring to the tutorial steps and the results you got at each step.
