| SimPE is a tool designed around the Sims2. It doesn't support Sims1 or Spore, for example. People are already complaining that it doesn't run on their machines. In part, that's because it's so complex. Adding support for a second, completely separate game to the same program would mean SimPE would become even more complex and even fewer people could run it. Further, a lot depends on how Sims3 works as to what tools are needed by modders. SimPE's tools might be completely inappropriate. So no, there are no (known) plans to update it for Sims3. If there's a need for tools beyond what Sims3 comes with for modding the game, then there are many talented people around able to create the necessary tools. It's much better to design a tool around the problem to be solved than expect the problems to fit the tool. ("If the only tool you have is a hammer, all your problems look like nails.") |
