Hi :)

I'm using SimPe Classic & I've run into a slight problem. Maybe I am mistaken, but I could have sworn that there used to be a University Tab when editing sims after using Sim Browser. However, there isnt one anymore & i am unable to edit my YA college sims.

Here's what happened. I opened up SimPe Classic, did Neighborhood Browser, then Sim Browser. Picked my YA college student - she is in her senior year, 1st semester. OK - I addeda a relationship to her, saved the neighborhood file when prompted & then started the game up.

Load up the house & she is no longer a student, she is listed as Unemployed.

I think perhaps what happened when i saved is that because the Uni stuff is missing from SimPe Classic, it just saved what was there (all students are considered Unemployed) I exited, deleted those files & loaded a back-up & she is now back to being a student.

Anyone else have something like this happen?

The university Tab does only show, if you Sim was saved using the University Format.

Hi Quaxi,

I'm not sure I understand what you are saying. I have NightLife as well as University installed - how do I save my sims so the University Tab shows up? How do I specify the University format?

You don't, the Game does :)

Have you tried with the new GUI? The classic one will not offer you Nightlife features!

Well I suppose I will have to use the touchy feely interface :/ I really prefer the no nonsense straight forward interface because it is 10 times easier & faster to find things. I don't have to guess what an icon is/does, I just click the text - I already know what it does without having to guess.

Bah! They ruined the software I work with too, by implementing all this touchy feely stuff. Yes, I know, it helps a lot of people do a little bit but in a lot of cases it ruins it for a few people who use it a lot. What used to take me a few minutes to accomplish now takes hours.

I'd be perfectly happy to go back to the DOS days :)
