Has anyone else noticed that SimPE version 46 is saving the files in all lowercase regardless of how the file was named originally? Not a bug, but a big annoyance. Hopefully the next version will stop this and save the file as it was originally named.

Hm, I just saved to a Uppercase Filename with 0.46c.

How did you save (classic or new GUI, File->Save As, File->Save, File->Save as Copy, from the OW (dockable, or windowed), from another Plugin)?

I use the new GUI interface. I also do not go through the menu, but use the key shortcut Ctrl + s.

My filenames are in mixed case to begin with and after saving they end up in all lowercase. Here is an example:
original dber_WineGarden_Crib_0805.bak
after saving dber_winegarden_crib_0805.package

Also, Quaxi, when you test, make sure that you are actually making a change to the file before saving. I just tried saving a file without making changes and it kept the same filename.

Nope, still no case change.
However, ther is one thing. If you open the File Lowercase (for example, if the Filename is displayed in lower-case in the Recent FileList), SimPe will save it lowercase, no matter what the real FileName was.

Could that be your Problem. Try to open the package with File->Open (not with Ctrl+1, or any other Shortcut through from teh Recent File Menu), and save it again. SimPe should save in the correct Case.

The drag and drop feature is the culprit here. I usually double click a file to open SimPE the first time, and then I drag and drop other files that need changes. Try doing a drag and drop and you will see what I am talking about. Notice that SimPE displays the filename and path in the window bar at the top in all lowercase. If you then save your file, it will be in all lowercase.

(The file that I originally double click to open, stays in the original case after saving, only the drag and drop files get changed - which in my case is the greater majority of them.)
