Wizards of SimPE - RecolorsWe're going to make a new painting based on the "Red vs. Blue" painting. Scroll to the bottom of this tutorial to see the original and recolor side by side. Click here to get your copy of the new painting image to work along with the tutorial.
First make sure you've got CEP installed!
When you first open Wizards of SimPE you'll notice on your tasks screen, there is a link to Options. Click that if you want to check your settings or click Recolors to begin our task.
Here's how default options look. If everything is fine, click Close and then begin our task by clicking Recolors.
After all the objects are loaded up, you'll be able to choose your object category from the selections on the left. We're going to choose decorative objects (vase icon) and do our painting.
Scroll to the "Red vs.Blue" Oil Portrait and select it and then click Next.
Now click on the painting to highlight it and then click the Export button.
Type in a name for your PNG working image and save it to a location you can easily locate again, here I've saved it to my desktop.
Just leave Wizards of SimPE running or minimize it and open your saved PNG in any graphics program and change the frame and picture to suit your needs. Here I'm taking a bit of frame corner from my new picture and after sizing it to match the original I paste it down right on top of the corner in the original.
Then place the new painting image and size it over the original and paste it down.
When you're finished and have saved your edited PNG file, click back on the Wizards of SimPE program and Import your work. Then click Next.
Give your new recolor a name using the recommended naming convention of INITIALS_objectnameDATE and then click Finish.
Great work! Here is the original painting on the left and the new painting on the right in the game. If you run into any difficulties or have questions, please don't hesitate to post in the modding forum at MTS2 where any number of willing helpers will assist you.

Post in How To forum if you have questions.
